New Jersey senior routinely helps neighbors in need

Marianne Gallagher is the kind of person you’d love to have as a friend, and she is our super senior nominee for this week.

New Jersey 101.5, along with with our sponsorship partner American Senior Magazine, is recognizing outstanding seniors who really give back to their community. Marianne is one of those.

She takes care of young adults with autism so their parents can get a break, volunteers her time taking neighborhood seniors shopping, takes care of them if they need a ride to visit a sick relative. On many occasions, she has come to the aide of her neighbors — watching their pets when they're sick and just generally helping out in anyway she can.

She’s a true inspiration and a great friend to humans and animals. We salute you, Marianne.

Tell us about your senior below. Submissions will be accepted through Nov. 21. Individual seniors will be selected by our staff and featured on-air and online once a week.

If your senior is chosen, he or she will be invited to New Jersey 101.5 for an upcoming commercial and invited to a luncheon at the the station.
