New Jersey Program Gets National Launch

A successful New Jersey program that helps veterans is set to launch throughout the country.

Vets4Warriors is an outreach and support initiative modeled after a program created at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. It provides veterans with critical peer-to-peer counseling. Staffed entirely with other veterans, the helpline has been running since 2005 in New Jersey.

A press conference was held Tuesday morning to announce the national launch of Vets4Warriors. U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg and Congressman Rush Holt attended the announcement in Washington.
