New Jersey National Guard troops return home
JERSEY CITY (AP) — Some citizen soldiers are returning home to New Jersey.
Brig. Gen. Michael Cunniff will join families and friends to welcome home 30 members of the 2nd-113th Infantry Battalion in Jersey City Thursday.
The troops left the Jersey City armory on Oct. 11 for deployment providing anti-terrorism and force protection in southwest Asia.
The security forces platoon is composed of residents from northern New Jersey.
