People look to the groundhog to predict the arrival of spring. But in one Jersey shore town, it's a hermit crab that prognosticates the arrival of summer.

Ocean City's Martin Z. Mollusk saw its shadow on Thursday, meaning summer will start early.

Forget that it was foggy and the 40th anniversary event had to be moved inside the Music Pier. Big Mama the Llama, from Bready Farms in Tuckahoe, shook her head in agreement.

John and Kathy Hertzler of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, were in town to celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary.
