The "B Street Band" billed as the "longest running tribute band in the whole world" is now the subject of a film documentary by Paul Kaplan called "Almost Boss" which premiered at the Asbury Park Film Festival. See the trailer here. One of the things you'll find out is the famous baseball manager that gave band leader Willie Forte the idea to pay tribute to Bruce Springsteen.

Lead Singer Glenn Stuart spoke more about the movie after coming on my show Monday night. Stuart said Kaplan "contacted us about 18 months ago started coming and filming us, interviewing fans, and friends."

"Almost Boss" is making the film festival route now. It was in New York City a few weeks ago. It was then that I hit Glenn with my idea of having aging classic rock bands start their own tribute bands, the rest is mystery until you watch the video!
