Neighbors Sue to Silence Gloucester Township Firing Range
Some southern New Jersey residents are suing a gun range and the farmer who owns the property.
The residents of Gloucester Township's Forest Meadows say the Iron Horse Pistol and Gun Club is in violation of zoning laws.
Over the years, some neighbors have said their homes have been struck by stray bullets. They also say in the lawsuit the sound of firing is loud.
Farm owner Watson Waddell tells The Courier-Post of Cherry Hill the club has made concessions, including changing the direction of the firing range.
The club has been operating since 1959, before the Philadelphia-area community was fully developed as a suburb.
