Name of New Hackensack Smoke Shop Stirs Controversy

Only in Jersey. Someone thought it would be a great idea to open a smoke shop on Main Street in Hackensack named "Fu" which is Chinese for wealth or luck, followed by "King", and with a picture of a crown between the "Fu" and the "King" which could easily take the place of one missing letter.

According to NorthJersey.com, Fu King Smoke Shop owner Robert Reichert denies that his store's name is in any way inappropriate. Residents of Hackensack, however, say it is an obviously poorly veiled profanity that shouldn't be in there neighborhood. Officials at nearby Fairmount School are saying the name certainly seems inappropriate to them and that they're concerned about the store's close proximity to students.

No word yet on whether a garden tool center named Hoe House and a dog bathing shop named Wet Bitch are planned next for Main Street.
