My wife’s Mother’s Day flowers get better every day … like her (awwwww)

If you've heard us talking about the flowers I got for my wife Aubree, here's a pic. Now what's amazing is these flowers are already nine days old. Nine days, and look at them!

These flowers were so fresh they actually opened up more the third day she had them. I got them from Proflowers.com — they're a frequent advertiser, but they didn't pay us a dime to mention them here. I was just that impressed.

Now this isn't the only thing Aubree is getting for Mother's Day. I'm setting up part of our deck as a little lounging/reading area for her with an indoor/outdoor rug and a nice rocking chair I bought. A rocking chair that requires assembly. That's how I'll be spending my Saturday morning, cursing my head off. That and a few other decorative surprises.

I'll probably attempt making her dinner too, which should go about as well as the rocking chair assembly.

Hey, at least she's got the flowers.
