The long holiday weekend forecast worked out reasonably well.

Saturday had some scattered light showers in Central and North Jersey, and the most sunshine was in the far southern counties.  There was lots of clouds with limited sun and very windy.

Sunday and the Monday holiday worked out just fine.

Yesterday, we had some rain -- maybe a 1/4 to 1/3 of an inch and temperatures which didn't get past the low to middle 60s, except for Newark Liberty Airport's 69.

Today will be much warmer.  Temperatures are going to be in the 80s, at least the middle 80s, if not possibly the mid to upper 80s.  It'll be turning cooler near the beach and boardwalk.

More than likely, any showers in northern Pennsylvania this morning will pass by to the north of the Garden State, so we should mostly rain-free today.

The heat's on the next couple of days with temperatures in the upper 80s and lower 90s with a good deal of sunshine for both tomorrow and Friday.
