Atlantic City Electric says about 80,000 homes and businesses are still without service. That's down from about 206,000 at the height of the storm.

Atlantic and Cumberland counties are hardest hit. The utility says it could take until Friday to restore everyone.

Those without electricity aren't facing the humidity that left them sweltering throughout the weekend. Still, temperatures were in the upper 80s and low 90s on Monday.

Violent storms left behind a path of destruction worse than Tropical Storm Irene.
