Patti Clark is technically not a teacher, but she is an extremely important individual in the lives of children who learn differently.

She is an occupational therapist in the Somerville district at Vanderveer Elementary School and works with children with autism and other challenges.

It takes a special person with the patience and dedication to take on this kind of job with the passion and skill that Patti does. It also inspires the kind of passion for the appreciation of her work to express that into poetry. A quick excerpt from one of her many fans....

She often skips her lunch break
If she had a morning meeting
Choosing to see the kids she had missed
Rather than relaxing and eating

For Patti Clark OT stands for both Occupational Therapist and Outstanding Teacher!
