Working with special needs children requires extra dedication and commitment in teaching. There are few special people among us who can do it.

The job is demanding and the rewards are extra special. It's one thing when students sing your praises but when your colleagues recognize your work, that really stands out.

Renee Risden teaches special needs children at Lacey Township High School and pours her heart and soul into it. People around her have seen her students thrive over the last few years and note her accomplishments with pride.
