Mount Olive Officer Marianne Wurtemberg was flown to a hospital after Wednesday's crash in the Morris County community. But authorities say the seven-year veteran only suffered minor injuries and was later released, though further details on her injuries were not disclosed.

Wurtemberg was driving north on Route 206 when her cruiser and the car collided. The other driver suffered minor injuries and was briefly hospitalized before being released Wednesday afternoon.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
