Mount Holly Police say officers responding to a township home around 9:20 p.m. Thursday were told by a resident she had gone outside to her car but was forced back into her home by a man with a gun.

Police say two suspects tied up the home's occupants, assaulted one person using brass knuckles, and ransacked the home.

Authorities say the suspects put the tied-up residents in one room before taking a female resident into another room to sexually assault her.

Police tell the Burlington County Times they believe the family was targeted, and that the suspects had been at the house earlier for a social gathering.
