The accident happened along Route 206 in Chester Township Friday.

Lt. Thomas Williver tells The Daily Record Record the Washington Township school bus was taking the students to West Morris Mendham High School when the bus was hit by a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Miguel Velasquez of Piscataway.

Williver says Velasquez was taken to a hospital. His condition is not known.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Route 206 was down to one lane with alternating traffic for much of the morning commute according to New Jersey Fast Traffic's Bob Williams.
