HOPATCONG — The man who entered the a North Jersey police station wearing a bunny suit and blowing an air horn is now in a lot less trouble with the law.

Kevin Hemmerich, 29, and his brother Jason thought it would be funny to make a video of Kevin Hemmerich causing “a little bit of ruckus” before he turned himself in for an arrest warrant, Jason told New Jersey 101.5. Officer Nicholas Maresca was not amused, and is seen on video slapping Kevin Hemmerich in the face while a second officer confronts him.

Kevin Hemmerich was charged with harassment, obstruction and resisting arrest and spent 12 days in jail on the arrest warrant.

First Assistant Prosecutor Gregory Mueller told the New Jersey Herald that most of the charges have been dropped because of "insufficient evidence." The only remaining charge that remains is a disorderly persons offenses.

Maresca, the officer, still faces an assault charge.
