DOVER — A town resident has been charged with raping and robbing a woman on Saturday.

Prosecutors say Shaquor Singletary, 23, forced a woman into a home, beat and raped her and later forced her to withdraw money from an ATM and give it to him.

He was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree robbery, third-degree aggravated assault and third-degree terroristic threats.

He was being held at the Morris County jail with bail set at $250,000, with no 10 percent option.

Prosecutors urge anyone with information to call Det. Stephanie Merced of the Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit of the Morris County Prosecutor's Office at 973-285-6200.

Prosecutors did not say whether Singletary previously knew his victim.

The Morris County Prosecutor's Office does not release arrest booking photos of suspects.
