Morganville Home Destroyed by Fire
A home in the Morganville section of Marlboro early Wednesday destroyed a home.
News 12 New Jersey reports the fire started at a home set back in the woods on Marseille Terrace and the couple who owned the home were alerted by smoke detectors and escaped unharmed.
Firefighters had to stretch hoses nearly a mile to the nearest fire hydrant and used tanker trucks to supply water to fight the blaze.
ABC 7 reports the home was completely gutted and the flames started a small brush property on the property.
No surrounding homes were damaged, according to NBC 4 New York.
The Monmouth Police Fire and EMS Facebook page reports a gas pipe may have ruptured and triggered the blaze.
No injuries were reported according to ABC 7 and an investigation continues.
