The Morgan Draw Bridge on Route 35 between Sayreville and Old Bridge was closed to traffic on Sunday morning but has reopened.

New Jersey Department of Transportation spokesman Steve Schapiro said there was a problem with the gate that comes down when the bridge is closed to traffic for an opening. Schapiro said repairs are ongoing and drivers will see the traffic lights on flash as they pass through.

Schapiro was not sure if the issue was related to cold weather.

The bridge is one of 20 drawbridges operated by the DOT. According to NJ.com its bridge control system is in need of repair.
