Police arrested six people on disorderly conduct charges and took 20 people to hospitals with symptoms related to alcohol poisoning Thursday night.

The Barstool Blackout Tour bills itself as the "world's largest blacklight party."

Police say the mainly college-age crowd was heavily intoxicated when doors opened at the Wellmont Theatre.

Police Lt. Emil Dul tells The Star-ledger of Newark he made the decision to shut it down after he found people walking over a girl in the crowd who had passed out.

The event's Facebook page says the shows began in February along the East Coast. One was shut down in Huntington, N.Y., earlier this month.
