Montage of elderly driver fails

A police officer in Middletown was struck by an 80 year old driver. The cop was directing traffic on Route 35 when the octogenarian, Ronald Eckstein, tried to pass vehicles on the shoulder. It happened at 11:10 am yesterday and published reports say he was pulled over at 11:40, so presumably he hit the cop and just kept going. He's been charged with assault with a motor vehicle.
