Monmouth Park Opening Day: 12-Races Planned for This Weekend

The horse racing season begins at Monmouth Park Racetrack this weekend with 117 entries in a 12-race program beginning this Saturday, May 12.

The park is offering free Grandstand admission and half-price Clubhouse admission and will draw 10 winners for a free season VIP parking and admission package on its opening day.

The big race this Saturday is the $75,000 Decathlon Stakes, which has attracted 9 competitive entrants.

New to the Monmouth Park Racetrack are four new LED video boards, expected to be in operation for the track's opening day. The boards range in size from 10 to 13 feet.
