Imagine having legendary Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully narrate the night your dream came true. That is what happened for Colts Neck High School alumn Anthony DeSclafani last night in Los Angeles.

Taking the place of injured Marlins' ace Jose Fernandez, DeSclafani faced off against one of the strongest lineups in Major League Baseball in his Major League debut. With his family in attendance, he pitched 6 solid innings to his first victory by allowing only 2 earned runs, striking out 7 and walking only 1 batter.

To add to his memorable night, Anthony DeSclafani also notched his first career hit and first career RBI as the Miami Marlins beat the Los Angeles Dodgers by a score of 13-3.

It is not known how long DeSclafani will remain in the rotation for the Marlins, but a debut like this has to help his cause.
