Missing North Brunswick Man’s Body Found in Lake
A body found in a South Brunswick lake on Saturday is that of a man who went missing earlier in the week.
South Brunswick Police in an alert confirmed the body of Lee Greenberg was recovered from Lake Farrington on Saturday morning around 10:45 a.m. in 15 feet of water in the South Brunswick end of the lake.
The death is not considered suspicious but it's still not clear how the man ended up in the water or how long he had been there before he was found. An autposy will be conducted by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Officer on Sunday.
"He liked to walk on the trails around there, so we're not ruling out that he may have fallen into the water," Lt. James Ryan of the township police told MyCentralJersey.com
Greenburg's family told NJ.com he was depressed recently but not a danger to others. “Good marriage, great active father with his kids, cared for his widowed mom and maintained a tremendous regime of fitness and exercise,” DeChiaro added.
Greenburg was last seen during the day on Wednesday, and police found his car that night parked on a road by the lake.
