Hamilton police say a 13-year-old girl who had been missing since Monday was found in Philadelphia and reunited with her family; the man she was located with has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities said in a statement that Dania Hernandez was located with 18-year-old Lance Jyrkinen of Trenton.

"Hernandenz was reunited with concerned family members. Jyrkinen was arrested, charged with endangering the welfare of a child, and is now in the custody of the Philadelphia Police Department," police said in a statement.

The investigation into the teen's disappearance involved numerous agencies including local and state police in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, NJ Transit and PATCO police, among many others.

Hernandez was reported missing Monday when she didn’t return home several hours after school let out. Police initially said she was believed to be with someone she met "utilizing social media outlets."

"The Hamilton Township police Division would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the various tips and information provided by the public, friends and family," Hamilton police said.
