The biological parents of Everett Streko, 8, were arrested after his father was asking for "drugs" on a street in Port Jervis, New York.

The boy disappeared from his grandmother's home in Green Brook on Thursday, July 16 and was believed to have been taken by his mother, Amy Streko and father Michael Streko in violation of a court order. They were wanted for child interference.

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office launched a search for the three and believed the trio had left New Jersey in a Winnebago motor home. Michael's Neptune City home was found to be cleaned out; Amy lives with the grandmother.

Port Jervis Police say they received a complaint on Friday about a man with an RV walking around asking children for "drugs" on late Friday afternoon. Police identified the man as Michael Streko and arrested him and Amy on charges of being fugitives from justice.They are being held in the Orange County, New York Correctional Facility without bail. 

Everett Streko was found to be safe and unharmed in the Winnebago. Everett's grandmother came to Port Jervis to pick her grandson on Friday night.

Port Jervis Police and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office continue their investigation into the incident.
