Millville Police Officer Killed In On-Duty Crash

A Millville police officer has died after his cruiser and another vehicle collided early Sunday.

Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae says Millville police officer Christopher Reeves was on duty when the crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. But she declined further comment, including whether Reeves was responding to a call at the time of the crash.

Reeves’ cruiser was pushed “a number of feet” following the crash reports WPVI TV.

No other injuries were reported in the accident, which remains under investigation by the prosecutor’s office and the state police.

Officials say Reeves was a Marine Corps veteran who had served on the Millville force for eight years. His wife, Susan, also is an officer with the department.
