Middletown Man Charged with Stabbing Roommate

A Middletown man was taken to a local hospital after he was stabbed multiple times by his roommate, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said.

Joseph Dickey, 23, is charged with one count of first-degree attempted murder, as well as weapons offenses.

Middletown officials were dispatched to the Leonardo section of town Tuesday afternoon. The 24-year-old-victim was found with multiple stab wounds; the attack presumably occurred after an argument between the two men.

The victim remains in critical, but stable condition.
