The award-winning, non-profit Moorestown Theater Company presents its Winter Stage production of "Hairspray, Jr." This family-friendly musical piled bouffant-high with laughter, romance, and deliriously tuneful songs. Adapted from the Broadway production that won eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical, "Hairspray, Jr." is a show that celebrates diversity and bring audiences to their feet with its positive message and uproarious sense of humor. It's 1962, and spunky, plus-size teen, 'Tracy Turnblad', has one big dream – to dance on the popular "Corny Collins Show." When she finally gets her shot, she's transformed from social outcast to sudden star. In balancing her newfound power with her desire for justice, Tracy fights to dethrone the reigning 'Miss Teen Hairspray', and integrate a TV network in the process. Tickets: $10. Women's History, Taking A Stand: Elizabeth White and Four Mile Colony, presented by Albertine Senske, lead archivist of Whitesbog Preservation Trust. In celebration of Women's History Month, she will explore the contributions made by Elizabeth C. White over three decades, focusing on her revolutionary approach to empowering developmentally handicapped persons with the founding and day-to-day operations of Four Mile Colony (now known as New Lisbon Developmental Center). Learn about the Colony's beginning, its expansion, and the people involved in its early history. The presentation begins at 2 pm. A donation of $5 per person is requested.

Does your little one dance around the house pretending to be a ballerina or a toy soldier? Join Roxey Ballet for Tutus & Tiaras, featuring music and dance specifically designed to introduce young children to ballet through storytelling. For each event, the program will focus on a different children's ballet. Young, aspiring dancers will hear a story read by a dancer, learn how dancers tell stories with pantomime, have the opportunity to see and touch the dancers' costumes and pointe shoes, and create a small souvenir to take home.
