A Camden County jury has found a 65-year-old man killed his neighbor after a dispute over loud chirping birds.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi announced the conviction in the 2012 fatal stabbing Monday. David P. Giordano, 65, was found guilty of aggravated manslaughter in the death of 52-year-old Michael Taylor.

Authorities say Giordano, who lived above Taylor on the 3000 block of Sherry Court in Voorhees, dumped water onto pet birds that Taylor kept on his porch because the birds were chirping too loudly.

When Taylor confronted Giordano, Giordano stabbed him multiple times with a knife, authorities say.

Giordano, who faces 15 to 30 years in prison, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 14th.
