The Westchester County district attorney announced the sentence Wednesday for Charles Blanchard of Hill, N.H. He also had pleaded guilty to kidnapping.

Epifanio Medina was found dead in June 2011 in the woods of North Salem, N.Y. He was from the Lehigh Acres, Fla., area but had been living in Passaic (puh-SAY'-ihk), N.J. The prosecutor says he was known to carry lots of cash.

Blanchard's half-sister, Jessica Ryan French, of Lehigh Acres, pleaded guilty in the case last year. She was described as an aspiring model.

Two other people are awaiting trial: Patrick Smith of Lehigh Acres, and Travis Morin of Danbury, N.H.
