Man Sentenced For Killing Fellow NJ Inmate

A Connecticut man serving a prison sentence at the Ft. Dix Federal Correctional Institution has been sentenced to an additional 10 years for causing a fellow inmate's death.

The U.S. Attorney for New Jersey says 27-year-old David Besaw of Newington, Conn., previously pleaded guilty to a count of voluntary manslaughter in the death of an inmate identified as "F.F."

Prosecutors say Besaw pushed the inmate down a flight of stairs at the prison on Nov. 4, 2010 during an argument.

F.F. died as a result of the injuries he suffered in the fall.

Besaw was sentenced Friday in federal court in Camden.

He was also ordered to pay $9,577 in funeral expenses to the victim's family.
