Police came to the home of Henry Yip, 66, after relatives had called asking for them to check up Yip and his wife Vick,i according to WCAU TV after relatives became concerned about a phone call they received earlier in the day from Henry.
As police entered the Washington Avenue home and heard a gunshot, Camden County dispatch was getting a call from a man threatening to take his own life after killing his wife. A SWAT team was called to the home and discovered the couple dead.

Neighbors tell WPVI TV say the SWAT tried to communicate with Yip via a megaphone for nearly 45 minutes. "I guess they tried to call because they said 'We just want to talk to you, answer the phone.' Then it got silent for a little bit and after that, we were allowed out of our house,"one neighbor told the television station.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
