Asbury Park police tell NJ.com that officers responding to reports of fights on the boardwalk early Sunday found 32-year-old city resident Jamal Wilson.

But it's not clear Wilson was involved in the altercations, which occurred on the boardwalk between Second and Fifth avenues and were reported around 12:30 a.m.

Wilson was taken to a hospital and was released later Sunday. But authorities say he has declined to cooperate with investigators.

No other injuries were reported in the incidents. An investigation into the stabbing is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
