One of my all time favorite TV shows growing up was The Man from U.N.C.L.E.. It was my favorite television series  I even had an U.N.C.L.E. gun which I took to kindergarten.  Back then you could do that and not get thrown out of class or create a national news story by doing that.

This summer the TV series about 2 spies in the cold war is back as a full-length feature film with Man of Steel’s Henry Cavill taking on the role of Napoleon Solo and Armie Hammer portraying Illya Kuryakin which was originally played by NCIS’s David McCullum.

If you’ve ever watched the show, you won’t believe how close these two come to their predecessors .

Rounding out the cast are Hugh Grant as Mr Waverly who was the head of U.N.C.L.E, the role was originally played by Leo G Carroll. Guy Ritchie is the director of the movie.

I cannot wait to see The Man From U.N.C.L.E. when it opens in theatres Aug 14!
