FLEMINGTON — After a man convicted of possessing child pornography finishes his 3-year-sentence, he could be on his way out of the country.

Adolfo Reyes-Aguayo, 39, pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography last month after he was arrested in July following an investigation by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office Special Victim's Unit and the Flemington Police Department.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns said Reyes-Aguayo is subject to deportation because of an ICE detainer from the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"The exploitation of children is a heinous and devastating crime," Kearns said. "The Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office is committed to apprehending child predators and ensuring that there are serious consequences for those who commit crimes against Children.
