Man Dies Trying To Retrieve Cell Phone From Cesspool

According to Britain’s Metro, a Chinese woman dropped her cell phone in a toilet and her husband went into the pit to retrieve it. He was overcome by the fumes and fainted in the knee high muck. His mom then followed him into the human waste to try to save him, but she, too was rendered unconscious by the stench and before family members could fish them out, they died. Other by-standers had ventured into the sewage to try to help; in all, six people were extracted from the goo.
