Man dies after getting stuck in cement mixer drum

WAYNE — A man was killed Tuesday when he fell into a cememt mixer of a North Jersey company.

The unidentified 34-year-olld man was found wedged between the rotating cement drum and the truck body just before 10 a.m. at SBI Materials on Dey Road, according to Wayne Police spokesman Laurence Martin. A passing driver was flagged down workers and called 911.

The man was declared dead at the scene, according to Martin, who said the man is about 34 years old.

The state medical examiner removed the man's remains to confirm his identity, according to Martin. Police will also review surveillance video of the incident.
