Jurors in New Jersey have convicted a North Carolina man of hogtying and sexually assaulting two women over a four-hour period.

Prosecutors will seek up to 90 years in prison when Anthony Massenburg is sentenced next month for attempted murder, aggravated assault, sexual assault and other charges.

Authorities say the 40-year-old Louisburg, N.C., resident and three accomplices broke into an apartment in Irvington looking for the boyfriend of one of the women. Authorities say the women were tortured until the woman agreed to call the boyfriend.

He managed to escape after he was hit on the head with a hammer.

Two of the other suspects have never been identified. A third man was acquitted.
