Man Accused of Slashing Ex Near Jersey City PATH Station

Port Authority police have arrested a New York man who allegedly slashed his former girlfriend's face following an argument outside a Jersey City PATH station.

An agency spokeswoman says 29-year-old Johnny Nunez of Brooklyn faces numerous charges including kidnapping, aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.

Authorities say Nunez was visiting the 24-year-old woman Tuesday when they began arguing because she refused to accompany him to the beach. Nunez then allegedly dragged the woman down the stairs near the Journal Square PATH station before slashing her with a sharp object.

Details on the woman's condition were not disclosed.

It was not clear Wednesday if Nunez has retained a lawyer.
