It's certainly been talked about before. With millions of people calling out sick on the Monday after Super Bowl and all the lost productivity, why not make the Monday after Super Bowl Sunday a national holiday every year? If we have to give back President's Day to get that done so be it.

Now there's a giant talking ketchup bottle pushing the idea. Heinz has an ad pushing America to sign this Change.org petition to create "Smunday," a national holiday for the day after the big game.

The petition states:

"We can all agree that going to work the Monday after the "Big Game" on Sunday is awful. So as far as we're concerned at Heinz, we as a nation should stop settling for it being the worst work day of the year."

When you think about not only the lost productivity but factor in more people spending money in bars and restaurants by staying out later for afterparties instead of grudgingly going home because of work in the morning, it might just make sense. Honestly, there would be far more practical interest in having a "Smunday" holiday than a President's Day holiday. I'm all in favor of this. The petition is seeking at least 100,000 signatures and when I checked this morning they were more than halfway there.

What do you say, New Jersey?
