My sister brought this dessert to a family dinner...and in one bite, I was instantly taken back to my childhood!

"I remember these," I said with great excitement...following up with the question: "Didn't they put this recipe on the can of sweetened condensed milk, when we were kids?"

YES!

Chocolate chips, nuts and coconut...in a caramelized layer, on top of a graham cracker crust! YUM!

This dessert is quick and easy to make...and will be a quick family favorite!

"Magic Bars"

1/2 C butter or margarine (1 stick), melted.

1&1/2 C graham cracker crumbs

1 can (14oz) sweetened condensed milk

2 C semisweet chocolate chips

(my sister uses 1 C chocolate, 1 C butterscotch chips)

1&1/3 C shredded coconut

1 C chopped nuts (walnuts).

Grease 13x9 inch baking pan.

Combine graham cracker crumbs and butter.

Press into bottom of greased pan.

Pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over crumb mixture.

Layer evenly with chocolate chips, coconut and nuts.

Press down firmly (with a fork).

Bake 350 degrees/25 minutes (325 degrees for glass dish), or until golden brown.

Let cool.

Cut into bars....and ENJOY!

And, maybe...just maybe...you'll want to make "Magic Bars" to take to that party with all the great food and desserts this coming Sunday...HINT...HINT...!
