She could have killed herself, but in her quest to be amazing, recreating the act she did during the Grammys with the bull horned dancers – Madonna took a turn from “amazing” to “alarming”.

Somewhere in the beginning of the song “Living for Love, one of the dancers pulled on her cape, sending her and a couple of the dancers careening down part of the stage.

Obviously the video went viral – but ever the trooper, she went on with the song.

However, one has to wonder if it was indeed she were singing live, or since she didn’t let out an audible gasp while falling – if, as usual, she were lip syncing her song.

"I didn't hurt my butt, I hurt my head. I did," Madonna tells Ross. "I know how to fall, I've fallen off my horse many times and I tucked and I have good core strength... but the thing is, I had a little bit of a whiplash and I smacked the back of my head so there was a man standing over me with a flashlight until about 3 a.m. making sure that I was still compos mentis."

However, while the fall looked pretty real to most viewers, some were skeptical, wondering that since the song’s lyrics are:

Because of the "Living for Love" lyrics – "Took me to heaven and let me fall down / Now that it's over I'm gonna carry on / Lifted me up and watched me stumble /After the heartache I'm gonna carry on" – fans wondered whether Madonna's fall was perhaps a stunt.

She claims not – saying that since she’d taken the tumble, she hasn’t been able to watch it.
