Listener to D&J: ‘If you’re poor, it’s not the politicians’ fault … it’s yours!’

As we were discussing politics and the frustrations with this year's Presidential election, one of our loyal listeners called in and basically summed up both of our opinions in a way better than we could.

Al from Hamilton is a teacher in New Jersey public schools who is consistently giving lessons to his students about common sense. Here's what he had to say the lower class in the United States.

If your life is a pile of dog poop it's not the fault of President or a politician. It's because of the choices and decisions you have made.

If you're poor in the United States of America with all its opportunities, it's any combo of the following reasons.

1. You have failed to educate yourself or properly skill yourself so you can gain legitimate employment.

2. You have, had or still continue to abuse drugs & or alcohol.

3. You are the product of and continue to perpetuate that of illegitimate out of wedlock childbirth.

Poor people are not poor because rich people are rich.... get it through your head!
