A retired West Windsor elementary school teacher was one of two victims of a car crash on Sunday.

Nicoleta "Nickie" Oliver, 65,  was a passenger in the single-car accident on South Mill Road near New Edinburg Road in West Windsor, according to West Windsor Police. The driver, 74-year-old Timothy Ignas, may have had a medical incident leading to the accident according to the Times of Trenton A third passenger, Ignas' wife Lorraine, was hospitalized. All three were longtime residents of West Windsor.

"I might not remember the math or language arts Nikki taught me, but I remember her energy and love of kids. She shaped the person and teacher I have become today. I am so sad," wrote Claire E. Williams on the West Windsor Police Facebook page about Oliver, who moved to Henderson, Nev. after her retirement from the Dutch Neck Elementary School. Many other comments expressed similar sentiment about Oliver.

CentralJersey.com reports Oliver was partially ejected from the car when it jumped the curb and hit two trees.

An email to the West Windsor-Plainsboro School District has not yet been returned.
