According to a report published by NJ Advance Media, Democratic state Senator Raymond Lesniak says he will not seek re-election and instead will run for governor.

Lesniak has been one of the most erratic and radical members of the Legislature since first being elected in 1978, as well as one of the most partisan voices in the Upper House.

A supporter of a tax hike on millionaires, he also led the repeal of the death penalty and criminal justice reform.

He many not have a chance of getting his party's nomination, but he just made the race more entertaining.
