When a grisly Halloween scene showing a smashed up Toyota surrounded by police crime scene tape showed up in Waretown, neighbors were so horrified that they called the police. This Halloween display is a bloody mess and in my mind was overdone.

Now, I’m not saying that there should be laws against it or police involved, but I think that some Halloween displays have just gone overboard in their grotesqueness.

What happened to witches, goblins and jack-o’-lanterns? When it was more about fun little ghouls and less about eviscerated humans lying on your front lawn with their guts splayed?

I thought I’d bring the fun back to Halloween and show you a very cool display created by one of our talented listeners, Adam Govert from Pine Beach. To me, this is what Halloween used to be, and what I wish we’d see more of now: fun, creative displays that don’t even hint of death or gore.

These log o’ lanterns are awesome!!
