Little buzz for Christie following debate
It was not a good night for Gov. Chris Christie during the latest Republican debate. He had some good lines and tried to set himself up as the only candidate that could beat Hillary Clinton. In fact, he referenced her every single time he got to talk.
However, unlike the previous debates, he is getting no post-debate buzz.
Most are talking about the lousy job CNBC moderators did during the debate, while the rest are talking about Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio going after each other.
Christie needs people to notice him if he has any chance of surviving early primaries.
Three months before primary voting begins, the GOP field remains crowded and unwieldly. Yet the contours of the race have been clarified, with outsiders capitalizing on voter frustration with Washington and candidates with political experience hoping the race ultimately turns their way.
