Senator Ray Lesniak will join me on the show Thursday to discuss his effort to shut down the $300 million dollar state house renovation boondoggle.  He's as upset about it as Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno is, showing a strong bi-partisan effort to stand up for the working and middle class in our state.

On Wednesday, Lesniak called on the Statehouse Commission for a second look at the Statehouse renovation plans that went from $38 to $300 million. Here's what Christie wrote to the commission:

Dear Members of the State House Commission:

I request that the State House Commission vote against Governor Christie's State House renovation proposal and direct that a re-procurement of the statehouse renovation plan be issued to determine what repairs are necessary for safety and security. I also request that the commission carefully re-examine the contract to determine why it went from $38 million to $300 million without a competitive bid.

I look forward to a response from the commission.

Sen. Lesniak called in to the show and explained how there is still a possibility to put a stop to the plan. It will take an effort from New Jerseyans to express their displeasure to members of the commission, but there is a way to stop to it.

Listen to Ray explain what we need to in the video below.
