Not so fast Governor-elect Murphy. Looks like one of the key proposals from the incoming Governor is hitting more resistance that he may have expected.

This morning I was joined by Senator Joe Pennacchio who expressed his hesitation, based on evidence reported from Colorado, concerning a rise in arrests of young blacks and Hispanics and skyrocketing drug use among young people and fatalities on the roadways. He is joined in opposition, or at least a 'not-so-fast' approach by his Democratic colleague in the NJ senate, Ron Rice.

Also joining me today was Kevin Sabet who is a former Senior Advisor to President Obama's drug control director. He's got an organization in New Jersey which he founded along with former Congressman Patrick Kennedy.

Linden Council Member Peter Brown joined the conversation to provide the local perspective. Seems that Governor-Elect Murphy has a lot of ground to cover before he can make legalizing marijuana a victory for him to tout in the 2020 Democratic Primary voters...
